Marshpools

Marshpools is located in the rural hamlet of Ledgemoor just outside Weobley village, Herefordshire. It is an ideal location for discerning wedding guests attending celebrations at the award-winning Brinsop Court who want to stay somewhere more individual than chain hotels. Nigel and Tess delight in offering a comprehensive and freshly prepared breakfast to set you up for the busy day ahead!

Our guests love the tranquillity, dark skies and restful sleep they get here. With beautiful views and two re-wilded ponds, there's a host of nature right on the doorstep. Regular early morning sightings of deer, pheasant, rabbit and hare as well as a variety of bird life including glimpses of the illusive resident kingfisher and hopeful heron.

Where we are
Set amidst the apple orchards and agricultural fields of the Garnstone Estate lies Marshpools Bed and Breakfast. Situated in a tranquil no through lane we are ideally positioned for exploring the north Herefordshire Black and White villages and the Welsh border counties on foot, by bike, or leisurely drive.

We are rural so taxis and restaurants are best booked in advance, especially if needed for getting to and from weddings.
There is so much to see and do in the area with beautiful country house gardens, small breeds farm and owl centre, golf at the nearby Herefordshire Golf Club, go-karting, cheese maker and local cider breweries to visit. The market town of Leominster with its antique emporiums is ten miles to our east and to the west Hay-on-Wye 'Book Town' is about a twenty five minute drive. Not to be missed is the Cathedral in Hereford which displays the Mappe Mundi. The Welsh Borders are ripe for exploring; the Elan Valley and market towns of Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader are around an hours scenic drive.
For foodies we are around forty five minutes from Ludlow, renowned for its eateries and daily market.
