Marshpools
Marshpools is located in the rural hamlet of Ledgemoor just over a mile from the Black and White village of Weobley in north Herefordshire. The small privately owned peaceful bed and breakfast provides a licensed bar, comfortable rooms with countryside views, en-suite facilities and a freshly prepared 'whopper' breakfast!

With two re-wilded ponds there's a host of nature right on the doorstep. Regular early morning sightings of deer, pheasant, rabbit and hare as well as a variety of bird life including glimpses of the illusive resident kingfisher and hopeful heron.
Ledgemoor, is a great base to explore the Marches from and is frequently used by wedding guests at Brinsop Court, Hampton Court as well as Hay Festival goers.

Where we are
Set amidst the apple orchards and agricultural fields of the Garnstone Estate lies Marshpools Bed and Breakfast. Situated in a tranquil no through lane we are ideally positioned for exploring north Herefordshire, south Shropshire and the Welsh border counties on foot, by bike, or leisurely drive.
There is so much to see and do in the area with beautiful country house gardens, small breeds farm and owl centre, golf at the nearby Herefordshire Golf Club, go-karting, cheese maker and local cider breweries to visit. The market town of Leominster with its antique emporiums is ten miles to our east and to the west Hay-on-Wye 'Book Town' is about a twenty five minute drive. Not to be missed is the Cathedral in Hereford which displays the Mappe Mundi. The Welsh Borders are ripe for exploring; the Elan Valley and market towns of Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader are around an hours scenic drive.
For foodies we are around forty five minutes from Ludlow, renowned for its eateries and daily market.

Tess and Nigel Ethelston look forward to welcoming you to Marshpools. Now approaching their fifth year in Herefordshire, they have fallen in love with the area and can't wait for you to share in it.
Marshpools Bed & Breakfast has undergone substantial refurbishment under their ownership to provide comfortable, modern and stylish surroundings for guests. Formerly a sports pub with small fishing ponds the landscape now offers a soothing spot for enjoying the tranquil bird song.
